Gemstone Testing & Certification Laboratory

  1. Acceptance of Terms: By submitting any gemstone, jewelry, mineral, pearl, crystal, or related item for examination, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted all terms and conditions of the laboratory.
  2. Nature of the Report: The laboratory report/certificate represents the professional opinion of the laboratory based on observations, testing methods, instruments, and scientific knowledge available at the time of examination.
  3. No Guarantee: The laboratory does not guarantee the authenticity, quality, rarity, market value, resale value, investment value, future appreciation, or commercial suitability of any gemstone.
  4. Limitation of Opinion: Gemological identification is based on available evidence and scientific interpretation. Future technological developments may result in different conclusions.
  5. Origin Determination: Country of origin determination, where provided, is an expert opinion and may differ from opinions issued by other laboratories.
  6. Treatments & Enhancements: Certain treatments, coatings, fillings, dyes, irradiations, heat treatments, fracture fillings, impregnations, or modifications may not always be detectable using current testing methods.
  7. Liability Limitation: Under no circumstances shall the laboratory be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, commercial, emotional, or financial loss arising from the use of the report.
  8. Maximum Liability: The laboratory's maximum liability shall be limited to the amount paid for testing and certification services.
  9. No Valuation Service: The laboratory does not provide valuation, appraisal, pricing, insurance valuation, resale estimation, or investment advice.
  10. Submission Risk: Items are submitted entirely at the owner's risk.
  11. Damage During Testing: Certain advanced tests may involve minimal risk and are accepted by the customer.
  12. Transportation Risk: The laboratory is not responsible for loss, theft, delay, damage, or destruction occurring during transportation or courier services.
  13. Storage Risk: Items left unclaimed beyond the specified period may be subject to storage charges.
  14. Unclaimed Property: Unclaimed items may be handled according to applicable laws and regulations.
  15. Report Validity: Certificates are valid only for the item examined at the time of testing.
  16. Certificate Cancellation: Any alteration, treatment, repair, recutting, or modification automatically invalidates the certificate.
  17. Certificate Verification: Customers are encouraged to verify certificates through official laboratory channels.
  18. Certificate Ownership: Reports and certificates remain intellectual property of the laboratory.
  19. Duplicate Certificates: Duplicate reports may be issued after verification and payment of applicable fees.
  20. Photograph Disclaimer: Photographs are provided solely for identification purposes and may not accurately represent color, size, brilliance, clarity, or appearance.
  21. Human Error: Despite careful procedures, human or technical errors cannot be completely eliminated.
  22. Third-Party Reliance: Any person relying on a laboratory report does so at their own discretion and risk.
  23. Commercial Transactions: The laboratory shall not be involved in disputes arising from purchase, sale, inheritance, auction, gifting, or commercial transactions.
  24. Ownership Verification: The laboratory does not verify ownership, legality, or source of submitted items.
  25. Confidentiality: Customer information shall remain confidential except where disclosure is required by law.
  26. Record Retention: The laboratory may retain records, photographs, and data for future verification.
  27. Fraudulent Cases: The laboratory reserves the right to refuse service in suspicious or illegal cases.
  28. No Refund Policy: Fees are non-refundable once testing has commenced.
  29. Delay: Estimated report delivery times are not guaranteed.
  30. Force Majeure: The laboratory shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by natural disasters, pandemics, cyber-attacks, government actions, or other unforeseen events.
  31. Jurisdiction: All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located at the laboratory's location.
  32. Modification of Terms: The laboratory reserves the right to amend these terms without prior notice.
  33. Final Acceptance: Submission of any item constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions.

Certificate Disclaimer

This certificate is an expert gemological opinion based on examination conducted at the time of testing. It is not a guarantee, warranty, valuation, appraisal, ownership proof, or investment recommendation. The laboratory's liability, if any, shall not exceed the testing fee paid.
